MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE INTRODUCED A NEW GREEN LAW TO THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Recently, specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture have been working to improve the quality of Russian agricultural products and their "green" image. It is assumed that the adoption of laws that are aimed at growing agricultural products in the most ecological way will help in winning new markets around the world.

During the event "All-Russian Field Day," the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev said: "Now we are actively working to build an" infrastructure of confidence "in Russian products with improved environmental characteristics and are laying the regulatory and legal foundation for a new market for Russia. The Ministry of Agriculture has already submitted to the government a corresponding draft law, which, we assume, may enter into force on January 1, 2021."

In addition D.Patrushev announced:  "We will develop the market for agricultural products, raw materials and food with improved environmental characteristics  so-called" green standard."

"The Ministry is preparing another low on seed production, which is important for the industry. The Minister noted that the adoption of the federal law will allow to structure the seed market which in turn will contribute to an honest and open turnover of seed material on the market."

"We held a series of discussions with representatives of the industry community and federal executive bodies in which we decided to exclude provisions related to seed licensing and certification. After the law comes into force information on seed producers will be entered into the federal state information system in the field of seed production" said Dmitry Patrushev.
