So some representatives of large businesses reported requests from the Federal Tax Service for a quarterly forecast of changes in prices for basic goods until the end of 2021. And finally, an official explanation was received from the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov. During a briefing with reporters, he explained the following: "We need a monitoring system in order for economic mechanisms, economic measures to interact predictably with business in advance, to make these decisions so that external inflation, and we have the main problem - imported inflation, inflation of world prices, especially food,.. did not move to the domestic market and did not hit the incomes of the population. "

Economic mechanisms, unlike administrative ones, require a longer preparatory period and, in order to obtain an objective picture, data from various sources must be taken into account.

"Therefore, it is very important to monitor the situation and see the processes, as they say, in the bud in order to take measures in time," said Reshetnikov.

"They are complex (approx.: Mechanisms), so the participation of all authorities is required. The monitoring procedure establishes just responsibility for certain groups of socially significant goods for specific federal authorities so that they develop measures in time to implement regulation in advance, "the minister said.

A wide range of information is used to obtain data: from CCP, FAS, various statistics. The analysis of the impact of measures on the current situation takes place weekly with the participation of all departments, said Reshetnikov.
